The FCA Difference
FCA Sports provides exceptional youth sports experiences shaped by coaches and volunteers committed to helping athletes not only sharpen their skills but discover truth, belonging and strength in something greater than themselves.
Can we choose which night we train?
Our hope is that FCA Wrestling training is as customizable for you and your family as possible. Training is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If you register for one training per week, you have the flexibility to choose which night works best for your athlete to attend.
What if we can't start until November?
Is your athlete involved in fall sports that conflict with the FCA Wrestling schedule? No worries. You can still register for the full season at a discounted rate if you know your start date will be delayed!
Contact Alison Haas at ahaas@fca.org for more information on customizing your start date.
Who are the coaches?
FCA Wrestling will be led by a group of experienced coaches who will bring high-level training and development to athletes of all ages and experiences.
Our lead coach Adam Presler, will be assisted by Toby Bryant, Chance Stoeser, and Craig Presler.
Our assistant coaches are comprised of current collegiate wrestling athletes from both Augustana University and the University of Sioux Falls.
Does my athlete need previous experience?
FCA Wreslting is excited to offer challenging skill development to athletes of ALL levels. If your athlete has never wrestled before, this is a safe place for them to learn the foundational principles of the sport within a Christ-centered atmosphere.
If your athlete has been wrestling for years and is ready for some intentional investment with highly qualified coaches, this is the place for them as well!
Our coach to athlete ratio provides ample opportunity for athletes to be poured into by coaches, and we will work to ensure they are paired with training partners who are at their level to provide a positive experience for all involved!
What equipment is needed?
If your athlete is trying wrestling for the first time, we know it's not realistic to expect you to have all of the right equipment.
Start out by having them wear athletic apparel and any type of athletic shoe or sneaker. Once your athlete has a chance to try things out and develop a passion for the sport, we would encourage you to invest in some wrestling shoes!
Avoid setting your athlete up for failure by wearing loose-fitting or non-athletic shoes.
Do you offer scholarships?
Scholarships are available! Please reach out to Alison Haas at ahaas@fca.org for more information.
